A short guide to the Jordan Department of Lands and Survey (دائرة الأراضي والمساحة) services that buyers, sellers and developers use most, with a link to the official page where each one starts.

Services and where to start them

  • E-Services Entry Portal

    Online

The Department of Lands and Survey's single sign-in for its online services. Create an account once, then request deeds, land plans, property statements and other services from home. Owners, buyers, sellers and their agents all start here; DLS publishes step-by-step account and user guides on its e-services page.

  • Copy of the immovable property registration record (title deed, "qushan")

    Online

An official copy of the registration record of a plot or apartment, the document people call the "qushan" (title deed). It shows who owns the property and its registered details. An owner, or a legal agent, requests it before selling, mortgaging or proving ownership; a buyer asks the seller for a recent one.

  • Land plan issuance

    Online

An official plan of a land parcel from the Department of Lands and Survey, showing its boundaries, dimensions and neighbouring parcels. Buyers check it before paying, sellers attach it to a sale, and developers and engineers need it for licensing and design.

  • Index Map

    Online

A free online map from the Department of Lands and Survey where you can find a parcel and view a draft plan of it. Good for a first look before visiting a plot; it is not an official document, so request the official land plan when you need one.

  • Property statement

    Online

A statement of the properties registered in your name. Owners use it for banks, courts, inheritance and official paperwork. DLS notes that an online request only lists properties that carry the owner's national number; others are added at a land registration directorate.

  • Certificate of no property ownership

    Online

An official certificate that no property is registered in your name in Jordan. It is often asked for in applications such as housing schemes and official procedures.

  • Ownership Transfer

    In person

Selling or transferring a property. The sale request is filed through the DLS e-services portal and the fees can be paid electronically, but the parties still attend the land registration directorate for the acknowledgement hearing (استماع الإقرار) before the transfer is registered. Only DLS can register a sale; a contract signed elsewhere does not transfer ownership.

  • Administrative Value-Lands

    Online

Look up the administrative value that the Department of Lands and Survey has set for a land parcel. Buyers, sellers and developers check it before agreeing a price or a sale.

  • Administrative Value-Apartments

    Online
