Tabarbour is a large, densely populated district in north-east Amman and one of the main areas of Tariq. It borders Shafa Badran to the north, Basman to the south, Al Jubayha to the west and Al Zarqa to the east, and sits at roughly 840 to 910 metres. Al Shaheed Street is its main road, and Al-Khaznah and Ain Ghazal are among its close neighbours.
Apartments and shops are offered for both sale and rent, and apartments come furnished as well as unfurnished. Daily life is well served: malls such as Areefa Mall, Time Mall and Al Ahwar Mall, plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and cafés, and parks including Al Khaznah park and Al Hilal park. The Dababa roundabout and the SOS Children's Village are familiar reference points.
Public transport is a practical advantage, with the Tariq Bus Rapid Transit station, the airport bus station and the North bus complex all within a few kilometres. Health services include a comprehensive public health centre and, nearby, Queen Alia Military Hospital. The area also keeps Roman-era remains, notably the Nuwayjis tomb close to the Tariq junction on the Amman–Zarqa highway. The name is usually explained as "barren land", from words for a small axe and hard ground that cannot be farmed.
Areefa Mall, Time Mall and Al Ahwar Mall are among the malls close to the area.
Yes. The Tariq Bus Rapid Transit station, the airport bus station and the North bus complex are all within a few kilometres.
