Dahyet Al Rasheed is a neighbourhood in the northwest of Amman that falls administratively under Al Jubayha. It is relatively young, with most building taking place in the 1980s and 1990s. Al Madenah Al Reyadeyeh lies to its east, and University Street separates it from Telaa Al Ali to the south.
Being close to the University of Jordan shapes the local market. Many students look for housing here, which keeps demand steady and property prices somewhat high. Commercial streets and the city centre are also within easy reach.
Known landmarks include Al Hidaya and Al Rasheed mosques, the Islamic Bank complex, the Jordan Trade Centre, the Al Rawda residential and commercial complex, and hotels such as Harir Palace and Al Quds International. Schools in and near the area include Al Manhal Schools, Dar Al Arqam Islamic Schools and Dahyet Al Rasheed School for Girls.
For health care, the Al Jubayha health centre offers specialist, general and dental clinics, radiology and an emergency department. Private clinics, medical labs such as MedLabs and pharmacies are spread across the neighbourhood.
The area suits students and families who want to live near the university.
