Moving in

The week after you sign a lease or buy a home comes with paperwork and heavy lifting. This page brings three separate kinds of help together: a free utility checklist, movers and interior design.

What you get

  • A free checklist of what Miyahuna and the electricity company ask for, with links to their official pages.
  • Quote requests to approved moving companies.
  • Quote requests to approved design studios and furniture package companies.

How it will work

  1. Tell us what you need in a short form. It takes a minute and asks only what the provider needs to quote.
  2. Hagzi checks the request. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you tick the consent box.
  3. An approved provider calls you to agree a time and a price. This is a quote request, not a booking.
  4. You deal with the provider directly. Hagzi does not take payment for the job.

Utility checklist (free)

In Amman, moving in usually means three separate jobs: transfer the water account, transfer the electricity account and order internet.

  • Water (Miyahuna, Amman)
Bring a copy of the lease, title deed or sale contract, a previous water bill and your ID. The current holder must clear any dues first. It is filed at the branch that serves the subscription, and someone else can file for you only with an official power of attorney or a bank-certified authorisation.

  • Electricity (JEPCO, Amman)
JEPCO takes a change of subscription (meter ownership) request online through its customer account e-services.
    JEPCO e-services
  • Electricity (IDECO, Irbid region)
For a transfer both parties attend with ID, or send an officially authorised representative, with a bill, a meter reading and a clearance.
    IDECO service requirements
  • Internet
Fibre is ordered from the internet company you choose. Hagzi has not checked their requirements yet.

Questions

Does it cost anything to enquire about Moving in?

No. Sending a request on Hagzi is free. You agree the price of the job with the provider. Hagzi does not take a payment for the job.

Who receives my Moving in request?

The form tells you before you send it. A request goes to the one provider you choose, or to the approved providers who cover your city, or to featured providers first and the other approved providers after a short wait. Nothing is shared unless you agree.

Please note

Hagzi does not move, design or transfer anything itself. The utilities decide what they accept; their official pages always win over this checklist.
